![]() The issue is that when booting, rvice stalls the boot process and ultimately ends up failing. My bad, I wasn't sure what info would be relevant. In this bug report they say the issue will be fixed in kernel 5.9 however I'm unsure if there is a patch for RTL8111/8168/8411. I found a similar bug report which effected a slightly different ethernet controller (RTL8125) which can be found here ( ). After installing I was able to connect via ethernet Install drivers by executing 'autorun.sh'ĥ. Download and extract the r8168 driver found here ( )Ĥ. # dnf install gcc make kernel-headers kernel-devel dkmsģ. This seems to be a crucial step since r8169 seems to prevent the ethernet controller from working correctly.Ģ. Blacklist r8169 drivers by running "# sh -c 'echo blacklist r8169 > /etc/modprobe.d/nf'". My steps to solve the problem were slightly different to the guide so I'll post my steps here:ġ. It would also stall the boot process as the NetworkManager would time out attempting to establish a connection.įollowing this guide ( ) I was able to solve the problem. Upon fresh install of Fedora 33 and even in the installer, I was unable to connect to a wired connection. ![]()
